RIKEN Brain Science Institute

The human brain is the most complex biological structure that has ever evolved. The brain is studied by many different disciplines extending from structural biology and neurophysiology to psychology and economics, and also to theory. These different sub-disciplines complement each other in studying different aspects of brain function in both health and disease. This large area, brain science has seen a rapid development over the last few decades, and will continue to develop and increase its importance for the human society. I hope that the students learn a lot from this wonderful school. Please advance your research career with big visions and with patience for hard, continuous works.
