NU ready to tackle the depression in the campus with “Counseling Skills Training for Lecturers and Staffs”

Realizing that there are numbers of students in Naresuan University currently experiencing the difficulties on self adjusting, handling stress and problems including family, social and personal issues, which later cause the Distress, Depression and eventually Depressive Disorder, therefore Student Welfare Service, Student Affair Division, attending to the issue, organized “Counseling Skills Training for Lecturers and Staffs” on August 23, 2022 at the Lobby room of Khwan Mueang building.

The training sessions are consisted the various lectures; “The Causing Factors of Depressive Disorder: Personalities and Brain Mechanisms, Techniques for Building the Relationships and Techniques for Counseling, Nurture and Help Students with Depressions” by Mrs. Rachanee Manthani, the guest speaker.

Therefore, the training included the learning discussion and brainstorm aiming for the course of Naresuan University students’ wellness, led by the Advisory Committee  for Guidance and Consulting Department (Asst. Prof. Kantaphat Anusaksathian) and Dr. Onnawat Meeklueab and honored by Assistant to the President for Student Affairs (Dr. Jaruwan Daengbuppha) as the guest of honor for the opening together with the Director of Student Affair and  the Head of Student Welfare Service. This project is joined by over 50 participants including lecturers, staff from faculties’ Student Affair department and those who are interested.
